Dr I Teoh - Wallace Health Centre Burney Street Practice

Clarence Rd, London SE8 3BX, UK – 020 8858 0631

This has been my practice since 2011, I love the staff working in this centre, they are the best ones. Regarding the doctors I have mixed opinions, but most have been alright and I was happy with the treatment I have received over the years. I have visited this practice many times and they were very patience with me too. Thank you.

Great surgery and excellent reception staff!

Dr Y D Malik

32 Chinbrook Rd, London SE12 9TH, UK – 020 3640 2090

Been registered at this practice for 5 years now and have found the doctors and reception staff really nice and most importantly, they listen to you. The only down side is that it can take ages to get a regular appointment to see a doctor and also the surgery is closed on Wednesdays.

Parkview Surgery Health Care Centre

186 Brownhill Rd, London SE6 1AT, UK – 020 8698 6566

I would give this practice 3.5 stars. The doctors are helpful. I came to see a nurse who was very friendly and helped me understand my issue. Sometimes you have to wait long for an appointment. But they also offer extended access at Lewisham which is very helpful.

As much as the doctors are great, trying to get my baby an appointment is tiring work. I call countless times over an hour or two from the moment the line is open and the phone is busy, until I eventually get through and there are no appointments left. Today there aren't even appointments at the Lewisham hospital extended GP service which is supposed to be there overhang if they are fully booked. I thought a child under 5 is supposed to get an appointment on the day by law? I guess not! I am sadly looking to move from this surgery, trying to manage an upset ill baby while calling repeatedly is just too difficult and takes time away from care you could be giving your child at home, when you only end up with an appointment 4 days later it hardly seems worth calling. Self-prescribing and a trip to the pharmacist for their suggestions is often my first port of call now but when they say to make an appointment with the doctor, I dread it. Waiting at a&e as the often suggested route when we fail to get an appointment, doesn't always feel like the road you want to take, as at home your baby can rest better. I had hoped for more, but is this the whole of the nhs being over-subscribed and not just a problem at this surgery?

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.
